Aromatherapy Courses in Review

Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy - Aromatherapy Basic Practitioner Course is a very detailed 200 hour course for self-study with over 500 pages of text and complete back up documentation. The Practitioner Module (optional 100 hours) includes case studies and a publishable research paper. NAHA?s work in the field of higher education has focused on core curriculum requirements in aromatherapy. Below is an overview of the benefits of core curriculum. The “this is aromatherapy” collection of presentation slides gives you maximum flexibility and lets you create a presentation tailored precisely to the needs of your audience. From a simple collection of treatment protocols to a sophisticated display of the science behind it.

Aromatherapy uses essential oils extracted from nature’s herbs and flowers. The aroma of the aromatherapy oil is inhaled, or applied to the skin, and each of the oils (or combination thereof) addresses a specific disorder. Students are also encouraged to visit our Oregon campus for a more personal understanding of aromatherapy, our community wellness classes, and a tour of our botanical teaching garden. You can also take the course as preparation for more advanced aromatherapy training. Or just because you find the science and art of aromatherapy fascinating and would like to gain the knowledge for your personal use.

We are a family business that truly cares about each of our students. Our curriculum is founded on Irene’s innovative techniques & 50 years experience. A series of class instruction, homework, combined with a home study course developed by the College of Botanical Healing Arts, Santa Cruz, CA, provides the student with a well-rounded, quality, and solid foundation of study in Aromatherapy. Yvonne works one on one with students to support their learning and ability to cope with any stressors. Her extensive nursing and counseling skills make her well suited to this role.
